Maker-Checker ConceptThe Maker-Checker facility is an integral part of the PNB C@shNet system. This helps to reduce errors and unauthorized data entry into the system and may also be a tool in preventing frauds.Maker – is a user who creates, modifies or deletes an existing record. Checker - designated officer who approves/authorizes the creation, modification or deletion of a record. Effective March 1, 2012, all Great Britain Pound (GBP) check transactions will be subject to a clearing charge of GBP 3.00 per check in addition to the existing service fees/charges while GBP 10.00 surcharge per check will be imposed on returned checks. Please be guided accordingly.
Checks with insufficient funds shall be dishonored and returned to the presenting bank not later than 7:30 AM of the next banking day starting January 3, 2011 pursuant to BSP Circular No. 681.
