36th Asian Bankers Association Conference

PNB hosted the 36th annual convention of the Asian Bankers Association (ABA) last November 14 to 15 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, gathering top bankers and finance executives across the globe. With this year’s theme, “Reshaping the Asian Financial Landscape,” the conference tackled the relevant topics on sustainable financing, cyber-security and digitalization.

More than 100 delegates and 40 industry experts gathered in Manila to discuss current trends in banking and the most relevant developments facing the Asian financial landscape. At the forefront of the conference was the integration of digital technology with financial solutions, and digitalization is disrupting the banking industry. PNB President & CEO Wick Veloso emphasized in his presentation the Bank’s bid for a more financially inclusive Philippines by efficiently utilizing digitalization to achieve its strategy of safe, aggressive growth.

Apart from the presentations, the attendees were toured around historical landmarks in Metro Manila, serenaded by world-class Filipino talents, and served delicious local delicacies during their brief stay in the country.
