  1. What is an Automated Teller Machine (ATM)?

    An automated teller machine (ATM) is an electronic channel that provides bank customers an alternative method of doing their financial transactions in a public area without the assistance of a human clerk or bank teller. The customer identifies himself by inserting the ATM card which has his card number and other security information, and by entering his Password Identification Number (PIN).

  2. Why should I use the PNB ATM facility?

    Get instant cash anytime, anywhere using our vast ATM network of PNB and member-banks of Bancnet, Megalink and Expressnet at your disposal.
     
    The PNB ATM offers utmost convenience to clients. Avoid long queues in the branch so your time will be well-utilized. It also allows you to do your banking transactions even after the regular banking hours.
     
    Moreover, the PNB ATM Facility frees you from the hazards of carrying cash for your shopping needs and the hassle of paying your monthly bills to the different payment offices.

  3. What can the PNB ATM facility do for me?

    With PNB ATMs, you can:

    • Get instant access to cash thru withdrawals from your deposit accounts or cash advances from your credit card accounts
    • Check your account balances
    • Reorder checkbooks
    • Transfer funds immediately to any PNB account or an account maintained at any Bancnet member banks
    • Pay your bills without the hassle of visiting the different payment centers
    • Pay for your purchases without the need to carry cash at any Bancnet – accredited establishments
  4. Who can avail of the ATM facility?

    Any PNB Account Holder who passed the standard requirements for opening a deposit account can be allowed access to the facility as long as he is issued an ATM card upon account opening (depending on eligibility of the type of deposit account).
      
    ATM accounts are specifically designed for individuals/retail clients and may also include single proprietorship accounts.
    Joint “and/or” and “or” accounts are also allowed to be issued ATM cards. However, joint “and” accounts are not allowed. Each member of the joint “and/or” and “or” accounts shall be issued an ATM card separately using different card numbers and ATM PIN.
     
    Partnership accounts are not eligible for issuance of ATM cards.

  5. Is there a fee for using the services offered by the ATM facility?

    There shall be no corresponding charges for PNB Account Holders who transact using PNB ATMs. However, transactions using ATMs of other banks shall be subject to the prevailing ATM fees of the bank. Currently, withdrawals on other banks’ ATMs are charged P11.00 while balance inquiries are charged P2.00. There are also charges for Interbank Fund Transfers from your PNB account to any Bancnet member banks at P25.00 per transaction.

How to get a PNB ATM card?

  1. How can I obtain an ATM card?

    Simply go to any PNB Branch and fill-up an application form to open a deposit account which comes with an ATM card. Please bring any two (2) valid identification documents.

  2. What types of deposit account come with the ATM card?

    These are among the products offered by PNB that come with an ATM card:

    • PNB SuperTeller ATM Account
    • PNB OFW Account
    • PNB SSS Pensioners
    • PNB GSIS Pensioners
    • PNB Regular Checking Account
    • PNB Priority One Checking Account (with P100,000.00 maximum daily withdrawal thru the ATM)
    • PNB Paywise Account
    • PNB Global Filipino Money Card
  3. How much is an ATM card?

    An ATM card is free of charge to every eligible deposit account being opened. However, should there be a need to replace the ATM card due to its loss or getting damaged, a replacement fee of P100 shall be charged to the Account Holder.

  4. When will my ATM card be activated?

    The PNB ATM card will be activated four (4) hours from the time it is released to the Account Holder.

Security Measures

  1. Is it secure to keep my money in an ATM account?

    Yes, it is. For your protection, you will be given a unique computer-generated Personal Identification Number (PIN) together with the PNB ATM Card.

    For added security, we encourage you to regularly change your ATM PIN. You should also keep your ATM card in a secure place at all times and exercise due caution to prevent its loss, theft or misuse.

  2. Can anybody else access my accounts through the ATM?

    Nobody can access your account via the ATM unless another person gets hold of your ATM card and knows your ATM PIN. By law, the ATM PIN allows us to identify you as the valid owner of the account. We advise you to refrain from giving your ATM PIN out or writing it down where people could see it. Account Inquiries & Withdrawals

  1. How much can I withdraw from my ATM card per transaction?

    Using PNB ATMs, you can withdraw as much as P40,000 per transaction. If you use other ATM networks in the Philippines, transaction limit is P10,000 and corresponding charges shall apply.

  2. How much is the PNB ATM maximum daily withdrawal limit?

    PNB’s maximum daily withdrawal limit for ATM accounts is P20,000 or upon specification of the cardholder – P50,000. If you have an old or existing account, you may visit your maintaining branch and request for the new withdrawal limit. If you use other ATM networks, their transaction limits and corresponding charges will apply.
       
    (Note: For PNB Priority One Checking Account, maximum daily withdrawal thru a PNB ATM is P100,000.)

  3. Can I still access my account using a non-PNB ATM?

    You can still make a balance inquiry and withdrawal transaction thru other banks’ terminals which belong to the following ATM networks: MegaLink, BancNet and ExpressNet. However, the prevailing withdrawal limits and ATM fees of these networks will apply.

  4. What happens if I do not use my ATM card?

    Non-usage of the ATM card shall be governed by the policy on dormant accounts wherein applicable fees shall be deducted if there is no activity to the deposit account for a continuous period of two (2) years for savings and one (1) year for checking accounts.

  5. Until when can I use my PNB ATM card?

    You can use your ATM card as long as it has not been terminated. The ATM card will automatically be terminated if the balance has reached zero. There are also ATM accounts which have certain expiry such as SSS pension accounts which shall be governed by the existing agreement between PNB and the Social Security System (SSS) and the latter with the SSS pensioner.

Paying Bills

  1. Can I pay my bills through the ATM?

    You may pay your bills under the Bills Payment option in the ATM menu. Bills Payment is not limited to your own bills, you can pay for the bills of your relatives and friends using your account.

  2. Is there a limit on the bill amount that I can settle?

    There is no limit to the amount of bill you can settle. You can pay any bill amount as long as your account balance is sufficient (net of uncleared funds and amount on hold).

  3. Do I need to enroll my merchant subscriber numbers in order to pay my bills thru the ATM?

    You don’t need to enroll your merchant subscriber numbers in order to pay your bills online. However, you may enroll your subscriber numbers if you would rather not key in your subscriber numbers every time you pay your bills. There is no limit as to the number of merchants that you can enroll. It must be noted that some merchants require the client to enroll first before they could accept bills payment thru this facility.

  4. What bills can I pay thru the ATM?

    The list of allowed merchants is available in the Bills Payment option of the ATM menu.

Transfer of Funds

  1. Is there a fund transfer limit?

    There is no fund transfer limit if the source and target accounts are both PNB accounts. You can transfer any amount to another account of the bank as long as your account balance is sufficient (net of uncleared funds and amount on hold).

    Fund transfer to other banks is limited to your account’s daily withdrawal limit.

  2. Can I transfer funds to an account maintained at another bank?

    Yes, you may transfer funds to an account at another Bancnet member bank subject to applicable charges. List of banks eligible for interbank funds transfer is available in the ATM menu when you perform the fund transfer transaction.

  3. When will the recipient receive the funds I transferred?

    The recipient will be able to receive the funds immediately after the successful transaction of fund transfer. However, if you transfer funds beyond 9 p.m. the transfer will be reflected on the next banking day.

  4. Can I transfer funds from my peso account to a dollar account and vice-versa?

    At present, we only allow fund transfer transactions between two accounts of the same currency.

Other Services Offered

  1. Can I still change my ATM PIN?

    Yes, you can. Request for change of ATM PIN is available in the menu of PNB ATMs.

  2. Can I use my ATM card to pay for my purchases?

    Yes. With the PNB ATM card, you can shop without carrying cash in numerous stores accredited by Bancnet, Megalink and Expressnet.

  3. Can I use the PNB ATM card abroad?

    Only PNB Debit MasterCard, GFC MasterCard and MasterCard PayPass can be used in ATMs and POS terminals abroad. Corresponding fees shall apply.

Problems Encountered and Actions to be Taken

  1. What if my ATM card is lost or stolen?

    When your ATM card is lost or stolen, immediately inform PNB via our Customer Care Hotline (632) 573-8888. You may also go directly to your maintaining branch and have your ATM card replaced subject to a replacement fee of P100. Bring a notarized affidavit of loss and valid identification documents (e.g., Passport, Driver’s License, Company ID, Student/School ID, SSS/GSIS ID, Postal ID, or PRC license).

  2. What if my PNB ATM card is captured by the ATM?

    If your Card is captured by an ATM, report this immediately via our Customer Care Hotline (632) 573-8888.

  3. How soon can I get my captured ATM card?

    Upon reporting your captured card, you may claim the card at your maintaining branch (within 1-2 days if your maintaining branch is within Metro-Manila and 1-2 weeks if your maintaining branch is a provincial branch) or request that your card be permanently cancelled and replaced for a fee of P100. Bring valid identification documents and P100 as payment for the replacement fee.

  4. What will I do if I forgot my ATM PIN?

    In case of forgotten PIN, you shall be required to have your card replaced through your maintaining branch. A card replacement fee of P100 shall be charged.

  5. I tried to withdraw thru the ATM but no money was dispensed by the machine and the amount was already deducted from my account balance, can I still get my money back?

    As a first step, report the incident or other concerns regarding such withdrawals to our Customer Care Hotline (632) 573-8888. PNB shall conduct an investigation based on your report. If the details of your report match PNB’s record of the transaction, the money shall be credited back to your account.
