Who can apply for an account?
This service is currently available to Filipino citizens who are residing in the Philippines. For non-Filipinos and applicants outside the Philippines, you may visit any PNB branch to assist you in opening an account.
What accounts are available?
- Debit Account Lite
- A basic, interest-bearing savings account that does not require any initial deposit and minimum maintaining balance. However, the account must be funded within 60 days after opening to avoid closure.
- Has a maximum balance of Php 50,000 and debit transaction limit of Php 20,000 daily.
- Upgradable to a PNB Digital Savings Account upon visit to branch of account, subject to branch approval.
- Open to new and existing customers.
- A debit transaction is also referred to as a Cash Out transaction. Refer to the table below for details.
- Digital Savings Account
- An interest-bearing regular savings account that is exclusively available on PNB Digital.
- Higher tiered rates will be applied to accounts with not more than two Automated Teller Machine Withdrawals AND less than P100K outward fund transfer to other Banks via PNB Digital in a month for an average daily balance (ADB) starting at Php 30,000 and above. Refer to the table below for the tiered interest rates.
- Does not require any initial deposit, minimum maintaining balance and minimum ADB to earn interest. However, the account must be funded within 60 days after opening to avoid closure.
- Comes with a physical debit card which can be picked up at the branch of account.
- Can only be availed through an upgrade from an existing Debit Account Lite account.
Please note that a customer is only allowed to have one (1) Debit Account Lite and up to two (2) Digital Savings Accounts.

- Download PNB Digital for free from the Apple App Store® or Google Play™ by typing in “PNB Digital” in the search bar.
- Have your valid ID ready, provide the required information, and confirm your account opening through a video call which will be scheduled by your preferred PNB branch.
- Allow your preferred branch to contact you within two (2) banking days to confirm the schedule of your video call.
