PDIC: Protecting investors while promoting financial stability

13 June, 2024 — PNB joins the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) in celebrating the 22nd Depositor Protection and Awareness Week (DPAW) from June 16 to 22, 2024.

The annual occasion, established by Presidential Proclamation No. 358 in 2003, seeks to heighten awareness on protecting bank depositors and promoting financial stability. For this year, the event is aptly themed, “Deposit Insurance: Proteksyong Maaasahan sa Ipong Pinaghirapan”.

Through this awareness campaign, PDIC aims to contribute to the protection of small, unsophisticated depositors and support the government’s thrust for sustained economic growth and development.

Deposits are insured by PDIC up to P500,000 per depositor.
