PNB hosts 36th Asian Bankers Association Conference in November 2019

May 17, 2019, Makati City – Philippine National Bank (PSE: PNB) is hosting the 36th Asian Bankers Association (ABA) Conference on November 14-15 this year. This is the second time the Lucio Tan-led bank is hosting the event. The first was in 1995.
In a general meeting held today in Makati, PNB President and CEO Wick Veloso formally welcomed the key delegates of the ABA planning committee and underscored how PNB’s strategic goals are aligned with ABA’s own vision. He said: “As ABA endeavors to undertake projects that promote trade, industrial, and investment cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, PNB shares the same vision by actively taking part in nation-building initiatives and serving the financial needs of Filipinos worldwide.”
The conference brings together bankers from 54 Asian and 4 non-Asian banking institutions. Veloso is one of the 23 board of directors that were elected for the period 2018 to 2020.
