PNB rushes to help evacuees of Taal eruption

PNB employees rush to Talisay, Batangas to extend a hand to the families displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption

Philippine National Bank (PSE: PNB), in partnership with the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, distributed “Home Starter Kits” to families displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption and who are currently staying in evacuation centers in Barangay Tumaway, Talisay, Batangas last February 27, 2020.

Over 40 Branch Managers and Area Heads from the PNB Branch Banking Group’s South Luzon Area trooped to Talisay, Batangas to assemble the kits. With the assistance of the LGU of Talisay, Batangas, these were distributed to the identified 845 beneficiary families from Barangays Tabla, San Isidro, and Miranda.

Each “Home Starter Kit” contains a cooking pot, ladle, plates, food utensils, water pail and dipper, among others. Moreover, Allianz PNB Life Insurance, Inc. donated toothbrushes and ecobags while Tanduay Distillers, Inc. donated cleaning tools to the identified beneficiary families.

As a true Partner of the nation, PNB was able to help the displaced families as they rebuild their lives and homes after the eruption.
