Terms and Conditions

  1. The PNB SAVE AND SOAR PROMO (“Promo”) is open to all New-to-Bank and Existing-to Bank individual accountholders who are not employees or related up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity to any employees of PHILIPPINE NATIONAL BANK (“PNB or the “Bank”), without existing past due retail loan/s with PNB at the time of enrollment, (each, an “Accountholder and collectively, the “Accountholders”), and who are willing to maintain an incremental Year-To-Date Average Daily Balance (YTD-ADB) for a period of six (6) months from the date of enrollment.
  2. Eligible Accountholders enrolled in the promo shall receive the following Promo Rewards:
    • Mabuhay Miles Points that can be converted into PAL Mabuhay Miles for every Php 100,000 YTD-ADB increment
    • Free one (1) year ATMSafe Plus Insurance coverage for one (1) nominated PNB Peso Checking or Savings Account (CASA) upon enrollment
    • One (1) Electronic Raffle entry for a chance to win two (2) round trip business class flight to New York, USA which shall be awarded in the form of Peso equivalent PAL electronic Gift Card (PAL e-Gift Card)
  3. ADB is computed as the average amount an account has over a period of time, ADB is equal to the total of cumulative balances divided by the number of days.
    Example: Php100,000 was deposited to the Savings Account on November 8, 2023, and a withdrawal of Php5,000 was made on November 10, 2023. On November 17, the ADB is Php96,000.

  4. The promo shall run from October 09, 2023 to September 30, 2024 (“Promo Period”), deadline for enrollment shall be on March 29, 2024 (“Enrollment Period”).
  5. Only the following Peso Savings and/or Checking Account Products shall be included in the promotion:

  6. The following Accountholders are NOT eligible to join the promo:
    • 6.1 Accountholders who are employees of PNB and relative of PNB employees up to second degree of consanguinity or affinity;
    • 6.2 Accountholders with existing past due retail loans
    • 6.3 Non-individual accounts
      • Corporation
      • Partnership
      • Single Proprietorship
      • Others – Government
  7. Incremental YTD-ADB under the following accounts shall NOT be considered:
    • 7.1 Time Deposit Accounts
    • 7.2 Foreign Currency Accounts
    • 7.3 CASA accounts with more than 0.10% interest rates
  8. Accountholders may enroll in the promo only at his / her maintaining branch (interbranch enrollment is not allowed).
  9. To avail of the promo, eligible Accountholders need to sign an Enrollment and Consent Form (ECF) stating the Planned incremental YTD-ADB (minimum of Php 100,000), Mabuhay Miles Membership Number and one (1) nominated PNB Peso CASA for the free ATMSafe Plus Insurance. Once enrolled, all qualified accounts associated under one Customer Number shall be deemed enrolled and shall be taken in aggregate when computing the incremental YTD-ADB for the purpose of this promo.
  10. The nominated PNB Peso CASA of the accountholder shall be automatically covered with a free ATMSafe Plus Insurance – a non-life insurance that provides protection against ATM and/or over-the-counter withdrawal theft/robbery and fraudulent transactions for one (1) year from the date of enrollment in the promo, subject to the Terms and Conditions of Alliedbankers Insurance Corporation (ABIC).
  11. An Accountholder shall earn Mabuhay Miles Points that can be converted into PAL Mabuhay Miles based on the aggregate incremental YTD-ADB of all qualified accounts associated under one Customer Number after six (6) months from date of enrollment in the promo.
  12. The Mabuhay Miles Points are redeemable by the accountholder who has an existing banking relationship with PNB and must not have violated the Promo’s Terms and Conditions.
  13. An Accountholder shall earn Mabuhay Miles Points after six months from date of enrollment. All unredeemed Mabuhay Miles Points shall be forfeited if not claimed within one (1) year from date it was rewarded.
  14. An accountholder may convert the Mabuhay Miles Points into PAL Mabuhay Miles by visiting his/her enrolling branch of account or by calling the PNB Customer Care Hotline (02) 8573-8888 and must have a valid Mabuhay Miles Membership Number.
  15. The Mabuhay Miles Points shall be credited to the Mabuhay Miles Membership Number of the accountholder within five (5) to seven (7) banking days upon receipt of a valid request.
  16. The Mabuhay Miles Points once converted into PAL Mabuhay Miles cannot be revoked or cancelled and shall be subject to the PAL Mabuhay Miles Terms and Conditions, please visit www.philippineairlines.com/about-us/terms-and-conditions.
  17. PAL Mabuhay Miles is transferable subject to applicable fees and charges but not convertible to cash.
  18. In the event of continued inactivity for a period of two (2) consecutive years within a fixed review period, all redeemable PAL Mabuhay Miles shall be considered forfeited based on the PAL Mabuhay Miles Terms and Conditions.
  19. PAL Mabuhay Miles Members are required to check or view the account balances, validity of Miles, on-line activity statements, and other updates via their Mabuhay Miles accounts through the Philippine Airlines website www.philippineairlines.com.
  20. The redemption of PAL Mabuhay Miles shall be done online at www.mabuhaymiles.com or from any PAL ticket offices/reservations or via the Mabuhay Miles Hotline:

  21. The Mabuhay Miles Points/PAL Mabuhay Miles shall depend on the amount of incremental YTD-ADB maintained. See sample table below:

    Note: In case the accountholder did not meet the Planned incremental YTD-ADB but has met the minimum incremental YTD-ADB requirement of Php100,000, he/she is still eligible for the Mabuhay Miles Points.
  22. For Joint Or accounts, the first accountholder to enroll in the promo shall be entitled to use the Joint account.
    Example:
    • Client A maintains a Joint Or account with clients B and C.
    • Client B also maintains an Individual Account under his name.
    • Client C has no other account aside from his Joint Or account with clients A and B.

  24. The Mabuhay Miles Membership Number to be indicated on the ECF shall be under the Accountholder’s name. The Accountholder should ensure that the name on the ECF matches the name reflected in his/her passport and other travel documents for the proper crediting of PAL Mabuhay Miles. The accountholder shall notify his/her enrolling branch of account and PAL for change of name due to change of status.

  25. Accountholder’s YTD-ADB level for the eligible accounts shall be monitored monthly for six (6) months from date of enrollment.
  26. For New-to-Bank clients who will open an account with a PNB-PAL Mabuhay Miles Priority Debit Mastercard or a PNB-PAL Mabuhay Miles Debit Mastercard, they shall also receive a welcome gift subject to the Terms and Conditions of PNB Debit Cards Rewards Program.   27. The Accountholder is required to nominate one (1) existing PNB Peso CASA Number under his/her name for enrollment to the ATMSafe Plus Insurance.

  29. For ATMSafe Plus insurance claims, all required documents must be submitted to the branch of account for processing, subject to the Terms and Conditions of ABIC.

    • Bank transaction receipts, hospital bills etc.
    • 2×2 recent photo
    • Photocopy of any government – issued ID
    • Journal tapes, bank transaction records and statement of accounts

  31. All eligible Accountholders who have maintained at least an incremental YTD-ADB of Php100,000 for six (6) months shall have one (1) e-raffle entry for a chance to win two (2) round trip PAL business class tickets to New York, USA.
    • 31.1 The two (2) round trip PAL business class flight shall be awarded in the form of Peso equivalent PAL e-Gift Card (up to Php270,000 per ticket) which is non-convertible to cash and shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions of PAL e-Gift Cards.
    • 31.2 The electronic raffle draw shall be held on October 18, 2024, via MS Teams/Zoom at the 9F PNB Financial Center, Pres. Diosdado Macapagal Blvd., Pasay City, at 4PM.
    • 31.3 The electronic raffle shall be drawn in the presence of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and PNB representatives from RBS-SSD. There shall be one (1) Grand Prize winner to be drawn. The name of the winner with corresponding prize shall be given to DTI after the raffle draw.
    • 31.4 The name of the winner shall be validated against PNB’s records. The prize shall be forfeited if he/she no longer has an existing banking relationship with PNB and has violated the Promo’s Terms and Conditions within the promo period and raffle draw date. In case of disqualification, another winner shall be drawn.
    • 31.5 The raffle winner shall be notified via their registered mobile number, and e-mail address, which shall include details of the prize and the redemption process. The winner will be requested to provide his/her consent to disclose his/her name/details to third parties for purposes of promotion, crediting of prize, etc.
    • 31.6 The winner must claim his/her prize within sixty (60) days upon receipt of SMS and email notification. Unclaimed prizes after the redemption period shall be forfeited with prior approval of DTI.
    • 31.7 To claim the prize, the raffle winner must present the following and sign an Acknowledgement Receipt to his/her maintaining/enrolling branch.
      • A copy of the congratulatory email/SMS sent to their registered contact details
      • Two (2) valid government IDs
      • In case the raffle winner is unable to personally sign the Acknowledgement Receipt, he/she may appoint another person to do so in his/her place. The authorized representative should present a duly notarized Special Power of Attorney (SPA), copy of his/her two (2) valid IDs, together with a countersigned copy of the winner’s two (2) valid IDs. In case the winner is residing outside of the Philippines, the authorized representative needs to present a consularized/apostilled copy of the SPA.
    • 31.8 As required in the announcement of winner to the general public, the winner’s consent will be obtained for the disclosure and publishing of his/her name and other details deemed required by PNB and to be featured in any publicity materials, either in photo or other media that is related to the promo.
    • 31.9 An e-mail containing a unique PAL e-Gift Card Number and PIN code shall be sent to the winner within ten (10) working days from validation of winner.
    • 31.10 PAL e-Gift Cards are transferable and can be used to pay for a Philippine Airlines ticket or select Travel Extras of another customer. To use the GC, the new user needs to input the GC number and PIN code upon purchase.
    • 31.11 PAL e-Gift Cards can be used to pay for tickets and select Travel Extras through the following channels:

    • 31.12 If the purchase amount equals the available PAL e-GC balance, the value will be fully used. If the purchase amount exceeds the PAL e-GC’s redeemable balance, the excess may be paid through other acceptable forms of payment.
      • You can use up to a maximum of two (2) forms of payment for a single transaction with a combination of either any of the following: Gift Card(s), Voucher(s) and any acceptable forms of payment.
      • After your transaction, the amount of the PAL e-Gift Card will be updated, including any remaining balance, and it will remain valid under the same terms.

    • 31.14 PNB shall not bear any transportation and/or other incidental costs incurred in traveling to the location for the redemption of the prize. All travel visa, travel insurance and other ancillary cost are not included in the Grand prize.
    • 31.15 PNB reserves the right to refuse to award the prize if the documents submitted are incomplete, insufficient, inadequate or when the Bank has any reason to believe that any of the documents submitted is spurious or forged.
    • 31.16 Any dispute or issue regarding the Promo, including but not limited to the eligibility of a PNB Accountholder, coverage dates, winners, prizes, or awarding, shall be resolved by PNB. In such case, PNB’s decision shall be final.
  32. The Accountholder shall receive an e-mail notification to confirm a successful promo enrollment on the first (1st) week of the following month, and another email notification regarding the Mabuhay Miles Points earned on the seventh (7th) month from date of enrollment.
  33. The offer under this promo cannot be used in conjunction with any other PNB promotion.
  34. All questions or disputes regarding the Accountholder’s eligibility for the promo shall be resolved solely by PNB. PNB’s decision on such questions or disputes are considered final.
  35. The promo Terms and Conditions may be updated by the Bank from time to time upon due notice to the eligible Accountholders.
  36. The Bank reserves the right to terminate the promo and the privileges under the promo upon the exercise of its reasonable discretion and according to applicable laws and regulations.
