Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. Distributes Fresh Produce for PNB Outsourced Personnel

Every July, in celebration of Dr. Lucio Tan’s birthday, Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. (TYKFI) distributes fresh vegetables and rice from its Dr. Lucio C. Tan Legacy Forest and Masaganang Palayan Program for the outsourced personnel of selected member companies of the Lucio Tan Group of Companies.

This year, PNB’s 385 outsourced personnel from the PNB Financial Centre were among the first batch of outsourced personnel who received fresh produce and rice from TYKFI last July 5, 2022.

Security guards, cleaning maintenance staff, drivers, messengers, and clerks received a TYKFI eco-bag full of fresh produce with a message card signed by Dr. Lucio Tan, thanking them for their dedication to the Bank. “We have to take care of our employees, especially the “little workers”. We should treat them as part of our own family. Without them, we cannot move and achieve our goals”, shares Dr. Lucio Tan.

On behalf of TYKFI, the Corporate Sustainability Unit, in collaboration with Administration Group and Corporate Services Group, led the distribution activity among the Bank’s outsourced personnel. Ecobags for security guards, who could not leave their post during the distribution activity, were delivered personally to them.

“Taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat po kay Dr. Lucio Tan para sa kanyang bigay sa amin na bigas at mga gulay. Malaking tulong po ito sa amin. Nakakataba po ng puso na naalala niya kaming mga maliliit sa araw ng kanyang kaarawan. Maraming salamat po sa patuloy na pagtangkilik sa aming serbisyo. Happy birthday po at God bless po sa family ni Dr. Lucio Tan!” says Security Guard Rochelle Dalupang who is assigned at the ground floor of PNB Financial Centre.
