What is PNB UITF Online?

The PNB UITF Online is an investment facility available through the PNB Digital App that allows customers to invest and effectively manage their UITF portfolio. Clients can choose from among 11 UITF variants which include money market, fixed income, multi-asset and equity funds. As an added service, clients can also redeem online. All redemption proceeds will be credited to their nominated UITF settlement account.

How to Enroll in PNB UITF Online

1. In the app dashboard, tap Banking Services and select Invest in UITFs.
2. In the Invest in UITFs landing screen, select “Tap here to enroll now” and agree to the UITF Online Service Agreement.
3. Agree to the Omnibus Participating Trust Agreement and General Risk Disclosure Agreement. Accomplish the UITF Client Sustainability Assessment (CSA) form.
*Your CSA result is important in determining which type of investment is suited for you.
4. Nominate your settlement account.
5. Receive an email notification on the status of your enrollment request.

How to Subscribe in the PNB UITF Online

1. From the app dashboard, tap Banking Services and select Invest in UITFs.
2. In the Invest in UITFs landing screen, tap the option icon in the upper right corner and select “Make an Investment”.
3. Tap “Direct Investment” then select the desired UITF Product.
Note: if you are investing in a fund for the first time, you will be required to agree to the fund’s Specific Risk Disclosure Statement. In addition, if you would like to invest in a fund that has a higher risk classification than your resulting risk profile, you will be required to agree to the Waiver of Suitability Results.
4. Enter the desired amount of participation.
5. Confirm details and enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number to complete transaction.
6. Receive an email notification with details of your investment.

  1. How do I know which UITF product is right for me?
    • During the enrollment process, you will be required to fill-out the Client Suitability Assessment (CSA) form. The objective of the CSA is to guide the client in choosing the funds which are best suited to his/her investment objectives, preferences and experience. The CSA also enables the bank to profile the client’s risk-return orientation. Based on the client’s reply to the CSA questions, the bank will present/recommend various investment funds suitable to his/her investment needs.

  2. What are the requirements to enroll in the PNB UITF Online?
    • PNB customers that are at least 18 years old may enroll in the UITF Online. You must also have an active PNB Savings or Checking Account.
  3. I have an existing UITF participation opened in my branch of account, will I be able to enroll it in the PNB Digital App?
    • Enrollment of UITF participations opened in the branch is currently not yet available in the app. Rest assured that we will make an announcement once this feature becomes available.
  4. Do UITFs have an indicative or guaranteed return?
    • Since UITFs are subject to the marked-to-market valuation, the NAVPU may fluctuate depending on the volatility of the market. As such, indicative rates cannot be quoted by the trustee. Yields are variable and cannot be guaranteed. Historical performance of the fund may provide an indication of how well the trustee is managing the fund but this is not a guarantee of future performance.
  5. What is the minimum investment per fund?
    • You can invest for as low as Php2,000 for peso funds and USD100 for dollar funds.
  6. How long is the holding period of my investment?
    • It depends on the chosen UITF. It ranges from 5 banking to 30 calendar days.
Redemption    
  1. Can I redeem my investment prior to the lapse of the holding period of my fund?
    • Yes, but this will be subject to early redemption charges which is equivalent to 50% of the income earned, if any. For partial redemption, the early redemption fee shall be charged only to the income of the partially redeemed amount and not to the income of the entire participation.
  2. How can I redeem my investment?
    • Follow these simple steps:
      1. From the app dashboard, tap Banking Services and select Invest in UITFs.
      2. In the Invest in UITFs landing screen, select a fund and tap Redeem.
      3. Select the COP for redemption and tap whether Partial Redemption of Full Redemption
      4. For Partial Redemption, input the amount to be redeemed and tap Continue.
      5. Review and confirm the redemption details and enter the One-Time PIN (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number to complete the transaction.
      6. Note: Redemptions made past the cut-off time shall be processed on the next banking day.
